Homelea is a lovely detached two bedroom cottage with private gardens only 1mile from the sea, local shop or pub.The cottage is in a small hamlet on the corner of a no through road opposite parliament green, so called as the men used to sit there putting the world to rights in the days when it was known as the thatched village, the only thatched cottage left now is opposite Homelea. Homelea has been a sweet shop, a Sunday school and even a cattle shed in its past but now it is a cosy two bedroom traditional Cornish cottage with a log burner and 4 poster bed
The accommodation consists of beamed living room,snug with a log burner dining room, study, kitchen and bathroom downstairs.In the kitchen,which opens onto a slate patio, you will find a painted dresser ,pine table ,fridge,ceramic hob cooker,microwave and Belfast sink as well as all the equipment you may need. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a 4-poster bed, the second room has a single bed with pull out guest bed underneath. The cottage has low ceilings and exposed beams in places with the kitchen and study built in the old shippen at the back, there are French doors out onto the garden from the kitchen with a slate patio and table and chairs. The cottage has a traditional mix of antique and painted furniture ,comfy soft furnishings and the oil fired rayburn in the dining room ensures it is always cosy even in the depths of winter. Our guests return time after time and comment on how well named the cottage is, Homelea was our home and we hope you love it as much as we do.
